From the community's well–tended & immaculate gardens & pool at the foot of the majestic Bermeja Mountain one can see Gibraltar and beyond, the magical Rif Mountains of North Africa. It's a glorious outlook, and just a few moments walk along the beach, past the Chiringuito (beach bar) is the Old Port of Estepona, with its many atmospheric bars, varied restaurants (seafood a speciality), childrens playground and a vibrant Sunday Market
The coastline of Estepona is 13 miles long with 17 beaches all with the neccessary safety facilities.
Just a short stroll from Veramar is La Rada the town's main beach. It is just a short walk from the major streets of the town. The Paseo Maritimo seafront walk runs along the entire lenght of La Rada for almost 2 miles. There is a childrens playground, an adult outdoor gym and many bars and restaurants on the route.
Estepona is a very child friendly town with safe beaches and several playgrounds to entertain. Restaurants also welcome children and it is easy to see how the Spanish culture is very family orientated.
Just off La Rada is the main shopping area of Estepona with Calle Real being the main shopping street. Plaza de Las Flores is a beautiful square surrounded by orange trees and a delightful place to sip morning coffee or eat out at any time of the day or evening. It is overlooked by the famous Torre del Reloj-clock tower- and surrounded by the many small side streets that make up the most attractive old town area.
